Johnson & Freedman LLC expanded its legal footprint to Florida with a new office in the Fort Lauderdale, Fla., area.

Atlanta-based Johnson & Freedman said the expansion addresses clients’ needs for default services in Florida. Johnson & Freeman is a member of the Fannie Mae Retained Attorney Network. The firm’s services include mortgage default resolution, home retention and REO closings. It also serves clients Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

The firm is a business partner with Prommis Solutions, which provides technology-based business process outsourcing for the mortgage banking industry, including default processing services.

“We are very excited about our expansion into Florida, giving us the ability to continue to partner with our clients to meet their needs and provide quality service,” said Joel Freedman, managing partner of the law firm, in a press statement.

“With the tremendous need for reliable service standards and additional home retention efforts in Florida, our expansion will allow us to assist and be involved from beginning to end in the entire southeast region.”

Information was not immediately available on how many attorneys and support staff will work from the new office, which is located in the suburb of Plantation.
